International Short Film Festival of CIS  countries, Baltic states and Georgia

                                 "Kyrgyzstan – Land of Short Films"

 

 

1.  Founders:

Union of cinematographers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Aitysh Public Fund

 

2.  Festival goals:

The festival devoted to memory of the great writer Chingiz Aitmatov, sets as the purpose:

-  to support of short cinema

-  formation of its high welfare status and traditional values

- preservation of uniform cinema space of CIS countries, Baltic and Georgia

- to promote development of creative contacts between cinematographers.

 

3.  Terms and venue:

The International festival of short films of CIS countries, Baltic and Georgia "Kyrgyzstan – land of the short films" will pass from December 12 to December 15, 201___ in movie theater "Manas", in Bishkek.

5.  Competitive Movies:

Participation in the competition are allowed for: the documentary, feature and animation films created in Kyrgyzstan, CIS countries, Baltic states and Georgia and finished not earlier than December 1, 201__.

Official language of a festival is Russian.

The Audience Prize

The Audience prize is awarded on the basis of audience voting, which runs parallel to the festival.

Festival sponsors also have right to award festival participants their own prizes.

 

8.  Participants:

In the festival competition can participate film studios and the TV companies, independent producers and any owners of copyright of presented films. Authors and owners are notified on results of competitive selection by publication of the competitive program on an official site of the festival, and also the personal notice by e-mail or phone.

 

9.  Formation of the competitive program:

The competitive program is formed by the Selection commission and Management of the Festival. The selection commission does not provide written or oral explanations of the decision for the filmmakers of submitted films.

Date, time and order of the film demonstration in the program are determined by Management of the Festival.

 

10.  Submission of an application:

The Selection commission does not consider the films which timing exceeds 30 min.

Films presented on a festival should not contain promotion of violence, national, racial and religious intolerance, an insult of moral senses of the person.

For participation in selection it is necessary to present the following materials.

 

      1. To send an electronic application for participation to the e-mail: kskf.short@gmail.com 

 

      2. To send the (URL) link (with the password) or DVD with the film by mail to the Management of the Festival.

 

      3. Dialogue sheets in Russian – for the films in the national languages which do not have Russian subtitles. The selection commission does not consider the films which are presented in national language and do not have Russian subtitles or dialogue sheets in Russian.

 

      4. The photo of the director and a few frame from the film in electronic form (in the jpg or tiff format, 300 dpi, not less than 500 Kb) for inclusion in the festival catalog.

11.  Participation in the festival work:

Conditions of arrivals, stay and departure of the participants and official quests are discussed in their personal invitations.
